EMT - BASIC
|
This is designed to prepare you in emergency care fields
such as first responder, ambulance companies or fire departments.
Completion of this program will afford students the skills
and knowledge to set for the National EMT Registry Test.
Successful completion of this test will allow the student
licensure as an EMT in Missouri and Nationally.

EMT-PARAMEDIC
|
This program is designed to review the basic skills learned
in the EMT program plus provide instruction in the subject
of advanced life support. The course will present advanced
topics. The student will receive a minimum of 450 lecture/lab
hours and approximately 450 hours of hospital and pre-hospital
internship. This program will prepare the student to sit
for the National Registry Certification Exam.

| PHLEBOTOMY |
Successful completion
of this class will allow students to seek employment at
facilities that draw, and preserve blood. Students will
learn prescribed methods required to safely draw blood samples.
Safe handling and preservation of the sample will also be
instructed. Instruction will include successful blood draws
under strict supervision in a medical facility. |
| EMT REFRESHER COURSE |
The EMT-B refresher course is provided for current EMT-B’s
to allow them the opportunity to receive continuing education
unites that will allow the EMT-B to renew their licenses.
This course will also allow students that have not taken
the practical or written exam to receive additional instruction
that will aid them in passing the EMT-B required tests.

| EXPLORING JOBS IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD |
This is an informative
one night discussion of job possibilities, required certifications
and possible wages for persons in the healthcare areas.
A group of current health care professionals will lead the
discussions and answer questions. |
